SilverCat Unveils New Generation of Power Catamarans with SilverCat 47

UAE-based boatbuilder introduces a new design direction and sustainable materials with its latest power catamaran

Umm Al Quwain, UAE: SilverCat has unveiled the second generation of its power catamaran range, marking a new chapter for the UAE-based brand with a stronger design identity and a renewed focus on onboard living and connectivity with the sea.

The new generation features a wider beam-to-length ratio designed to create more spacious interior and exterior social areas. The range also introduces contemporary interiors, upgraded materials and open-plan layouts aimed at strengthening the connection between indoor and outdoor spaces.

The first model in the new generation is the all-new SilverCat 47, the latest addition to the brand’s Family Series and a model designed entirely in-house.

“With the SilverCat 47, our ambition was to redefine the modern power catamaran by bringing together contemporary yacht styling, intelligent space planning and premium craftsmanship,” said Cristiana Cassese, Product Marketing Specialist at SilverCat.

“Every line, feature and material has been carefully developed to create a distinctive SilverCat identity — one that delivers exceptional comfort, effortless entertaining and a true luxury experience for owners.”

With a 4.92-metre beam, the SilverCat 47 offers an expanded aft entertainment area. Optional fold-down balconies extend the cockpit and provide closer access to the water, while an automatic swim ladder developed in-house is designed to provide convenient water access.

The cockpit can be configured with flexible seating arrangements, while an extended hardtop provides additional shade during cruising. Forward, an entertainment lounge can accommodate up to eight guests, creating a second shaded social area for relaxing at anchor or enjoying views while underway.

Inside, a wide-opening patio door connects the cockpit with the salon, supporting the indoor-outdoor layout that is central to the new generation. The interior includes bright open living spaces, configurable galley options and accommodation designed around both practicality and comfort.

Built for family cruising, the SilverCat 47 features a twin-seat social helm with two companion seats, en-suite accommodation with natural light and ventilation, and a tropical HVAC package designed for year-round operation in warmer climates.

Sustainable boatbuilding

The new model also incorporates sustainable materials, including an rPET foam core made from 100% recycled plastic.

According to SilverCat, the material can significantly reduce CO₂ emissions during production compared with conventional SAN foam while maintaining the strength and durability required for a premium power catamaran.

The introduction of the SilverCat 47 forms part of the brand’s broader move toward a new generation of power catamarans combining larger social spaces, contemporary design, improved onboard connectivity and more sustainable construction materials.
